A word on coaches and coaching
Master Certified Coach (MCC) accreditation is awarded by the International
Coach Federation (ICF), the longest established and most rigorous coaching
accreditation body worldwide. Master Certified Coaches must complete over
2500 coaching hours, provide extensive coaching references together with proof
of approved coaching training, and pass a written and oral examination.
Because of the length and breadth of her coaching experience, Carolyn is also
on the ICFs accreditation committee and is heavily involved in training
other coaches to her own high standards. The ICFs professionalism and
stringent accreditation procedure is in direct contrast to some other, more
recently formed coaching bodies. In coaching, the importance of real qualifications
and actual experience cannot be overstated, as coaches put themselves in a
position of trust and confidence which requires absolute professionalism.
